linda,  this is just really nice,  love how you have captured birds movement, colors are also very nice especially blue on bird,  but also strong b/g soft colors.  lovely work my dear.

Thank you! I am glad to hear that you like this. I had spent all day looking for Bluebirds without luck, had given up and was headed home when I spotted this little guy. I was so happy that he sat and posed for me for several minutes. I was already focused on him when he decided to fly away. The focus isn't perfect, but I like the movement and the form he takes as he launches himself off his perch. This was my last shot of him.

This is a lovely presentation........ caught at the right moment and placing it nicely in the frame to allow for movement......... well done.

Yes the clarity is a bit off....... and I notice from your exif that you used autofocus although it doesn't specify which mode? I have the preference for "spot" autofocus when out birding...... just a thought for you.

Best regards

Hi Grayham, my camera was on full auto when I took this. I didn't want to waste time finding the best shooting mode. What often happens with wildlife, for me anyway,  by the time I find the best setting the subject is gone.

Thanks again,

Linda
