We talk to these guys in the mornings, and their heads "bob" all over the place as they watch us, watching them.

You've been "quiet" for quite a while........... nice to have you back.

Thanks for your visit and kind comments. Yes, it is nice to have "house-trained" models posing............

Best regards

The morning light is very becoming! The detail and sharpness is excellent. I also think the presence of the chain across the bird adds a nice contrasting element to the soft plumage. Very well done Grayham!

Best Regards

Hi Grayham, Another fine shot and as MLM pointed out Alf said it well with his comments. I would like to add the composition as well as the color and detail are spot on. You have a fabulous array of subjects at your disposal it seems and I'm a little jealous. Take care.

Hi Grayham,

That's a perfect pose!  Nice!  White is always such a difficult color to capture well on birds.  You have done an outstanding job here.  And the rest of the scene is lighted softly and evenly.  Great shot!  Regards

Pierre, Alf, Mike, Holger (lady) and Phil....................... Your comments warm an old "happy snapper's" heart.

This was a simple shot, taken from the back porch........ but over the years, I have learned that focus and presentation are the most important aspect of photography. I have used simple techniques all my life ( even in my Pro days) and they have looked after me well. Your comments on this (almost) P&S type of shot are humbly accepted and I thank you all for your time on this image.

Best regards

Grayham, this is excellent. The focus is spot on, clear, clean and crisp. I admire this but can never seem to get perfect focus myself. I also like the composition, the white bird really stands out against the dark background.

So nice of you to visit. Thank you so much for your generous comments..... they are really appreciated.

I have sent you an email about "sharpness" that I hope helps you a little.

Take care.
