cycler48 8 Posted May 26, 2012 I did a Google search for REO Speedwagon trucks and discovered they made some interesting looking vehicles. It appears they were first produced in 1915 and continued in production until 1953. I love the colors in this photo, especially the rust. There's just something about the color and tones of rust that I find fascinating and you've done a nice job of bringing those colors and tones out. I also like the fact that there are other decaying vehicles - it's like a place where old trucks go to die. Another thing I feel adds to the interest in this photo is the sky. I don't think the photo would appeal to me as much if it were a clear blue sky. Overall, a very nice photo. Link to comment

color 3 Posted May 27, 2012 Hi Guys, Thanks for your comments. This was quite a find. The owner is a collector of old cars, trucks, and tractors. In addition to the stuff in this photo he has several sheds where he stores vehicles that have been restored. I got to see two tractors and 8 cars and trucks. Very nice.I think I'll go back there sometime and shoot some more. He has a lot of beautiful machinery. Of course my favs to photograph are the more decrepit vehicles, but I enjoy them all.
