Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted May 22, 2012 After my younger brother, Anthony passed away suddenly, I promised myself I'd go and see his children every year, but failed miserably to live up to that task, as I ended up starting my business and family right after, so that, save for two trips there, one to take him home to the village for burial, and another to try to wrap up his affairs, I had failed to see the children for six long years. Oh, we did call once in a while, but this was cold comfort for children so grafted to their father. So, when I did decide to go out and see them last week, I didn't really know what to expect after six years. I was pleasantly surprised to meet two young, beautiful, confident girls with a remarkable apetite for the pursuit of knowledge. Morgan, the elder, does not say very much, but demonstrates a confidence at the age of twelve that is absolutely amazing, while Teresa is so full of life, energy, and mischief. I don't think we bridged the gap of the intervening years in the three days I spent with them, but we did lay some foundation for what I hope to be a long thread that should sustain itself in the years to come. 3m 0 Posted May 27, 2012 A touching & warm story accompanying your photo, Emmanuel... The photo has a 'deep mood' to it & your vignetting enhances the narrative here. It is an upward-looking composition.... seems fitting in a way... Link to comment
