sambal 0 Posted June 28, 2003 Carl, thank you very much for your critique. If I would follow your suggestion, I think I'd have to crop out the white chairs & table, and then half a door, leaving me with half a window, and finally after cropping that one away, ending up with the staircase alone. This picture is not about art or design - it's showing the somewhat disorderly facts of normal life. Link to comment
jimcallum 0 Posted July 10, 2005 I'd love to know the history behind all the additions to that well lived in building. The white plastic chairs provide a minor discordant note. Cheers, Jim Link to comment
urspeter 0 Posted July 10, 2005 As you say - simple but effective. The plastic furniture irritates me, too - I would have tried to move them away. All the rest - even the cables on the wall - fit into the impression of, yes, well lived in. What amazes me is the the amount of different colours in the whole picture. Link to comment
sambal 0 Posted July 10, 2005 Jim & Peter, thanks very much for your critiques. Plastic chairs & tables can be seen all over the world in the same shapes & sizes. Irritating or not, they are a fact of modern life, which is not necessarily beautiful. Cheers, Sam. Link to comment
