rp3o 0 Posted June 25, 2003 How else would you shoot this skyline from New Jersey? Ideas? Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 26, 2003 Never been to New York, or New Jersey, but this image looks pretty good to me. Good work! T.Page 5/5 Link to comment
jonathan_wang 0 Posted June 26, 2003 This is a little nitpicky, and it might be my monitor, but it doesn't look to be quite tack sharp to me. I'd also rotate the image slightly in Photoshop... it looks to be tilted counterclockwise a bit. Link to comment
ivan colman 0 Posted June 26, 2003 The colors are nice, yielding a "dramatic" mood. But the buildings appear a little chaotic, with too large contrast differences Link to comment
agaudio 0 Posted June 26, 2003 This is a beautiful picture. I bet it would have looked just as great w/o the use of the tobacco graduated filter. I really like the contrast with the water. Never have seen anything like it before. The sky adds to the mood also. What part of New Jersey were you shooting from? I am from New York and wanted to start on a series of New York skyline pictures myself. Link to comment
rp3o 0 Posted June 26, 2003 This was shot from Boulevard East - it's a long street on a bluff overlooking the Hudson River, and runs roughly parallel to the river. You can shoot from virtually anywhere along this street; there are many mini-parks lining the Eastern side of the street. I've seen many wedding photographers use the parks for portraits of the wedding party. The trick is to wait for the right light / weather conditions... Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted July 24, 2003 Very good shot. Great colours. I might have cropped most of the water... Link to comment
richard_laurence 0 Posted July 26, 2003 A nice panorama with rich colours. The filter is perhaps abit too strong and is obvious on the building just right of centre. Link to comment
