Good of you to drop by.  Yes, at this age they're easily contained.  Get's a little tougher as they get more mobile.  Stay tuned for future attempts.  Best, LM.

Does he look like he's uncomfortable?  Cruel if the session lasts more than 5 min., yes!  Didn't happen.  Done this before!  Thanks for the validation. Best, LM.

Wonderful --- photo and the model. surprisingly his eyes are fixed too! so he was surely enjoing. a bit too centered, but that can be overlooked. compliments -koushik

Great model indeed!  #3 grandson!  Eyes were fixed on Mommy who was standing right behind me and a little to the side.  She can always coax a smile from him.  Good point about the centering.  Since he's looking to camera right I could easily have cropped the left side a bit.  I could still do that & may in a subsequent version.  Thanks for that observation.  Best, LM.

Wow! Great flash work and wonderful expression capture! Way to go Len! Fourth Grandson? I'll bet you're busy now..and lots of great subjects to work with. Hope you're keeping well! I haven't been shooting much these days... spending most of my spare time trout fishing with Peter.

Well, welcome back!  Missed your input.  He's actually my third grandson, fourth grandchild.  Starting to be FUN instead of simply a sweet baby.  Fishing with Peter instead of excessively photographing?  Sounds like more than a fair trade to me.  You can spend your retirement photographing your brains out but you can't get the time with your sons back.  Way to go Dad!  I'm doing fine though my photo pursuits  have abated somewhat.  Enthusiasm comes & goes but I'm sure the pendulum will swing back toward more activity in that department.  Don't be a stranger.  Best, LM.

Being a grandmother to 5 of them, it is a joy to be with all of them ,and I love photographing them too. My youngest is 5 years old ,and when I photo him, he asks to see the result right away .....;-)).This is a very nice 'photo of a 4 months old baby ,and it even looks as if he had  cooperated with you! lovely child!  You will only turn your head ,and he will be 4 YEARS old...;-))

Time flies!  One day you are photographing an infant, the next day a toddler, the next, a 3 or 4 year old!  What happened to the infant?  He was here at the last session!  The line between those categories is too subtle to be accurately defined so we just have to keep shooting every time there is an opportunity.  And, for those who haven't experience it yet, successful photo sessions (meaning getting the desired expressions)  with infants are often measured in seconds, not minutes.   For this shot the planets and stars were all in a line.  Also, a squeaky toy helps.  :-)  Thanks for your continued interest.  Stay tuned for more.  Best, LM.

Thanks for the validation on the portrait.  I agree that he is a lovely little boy,  the apple of grandpa's eye!  Best LM.
