Jack McRitchie 150 Posted May 21, 2012 I really like the feeling of this picture, the darker lower half contrasted with the foggy seascape beyond. The yellow of the life preserver, right at bend of the railing balances the angled bench which would otherwise dominate the picture. I wish the foreground were a little sharper, though. iliafarniev 13 Posted May 23, 2012 Thanks, Jack. Glad you like it. Would agree with you basically but this shot was made with cheap, half broken cellphone I had to borrow - there was no controls of any kind and whole thing was a joke but made few curious pictures, mostly for tha sake of picturesque occasion, nevertheless. Thanks again. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted May 24, 2012 Yeah, I really understand that. There have been many times when I take a picture and the results are far from perfect. And yet there's some elusive spark of life in the picture that resonates. I much prefer these to technically perfect pictures that are dead. Link to comment
