Jack McRitchie 150 Posted May 24, 2012 This could be a detail from Lucas Cranach's "Garden of Eden"; it has a sinuous yet innocent quality that reminds me of the work of that painter. Link to comment
3m 0 Posted May 27, 2012 I quite like the sensuous curves, enhanced by the delicate light, and I appreciate the fact that you present this as a color photo, as the textures and colors of the bark are quite lovely & very subtle... (a B&W version may bring shades of E. Weston to mind perhaps..) Jack's comment above is quite interesting, although I admit that I don't really feel/see it the same way... However, this definitely has a strong organic feel, and yes, perhaps something of a painterly touch after all... I rather like the way you managed to allow for a certain depth, which retains one's attention, after the 1st impression of viewing this. A simple, yet original take for sure, Bulent Link to comment

celasun 0 Posted June 28, 2012 Thank you all for your kind visits and comments; much appreciated in the recent climate!Pierre,Happy that you liked this :)Jack,I have now found an image of "Garden of Eden". There was too much to see and I enjoyed watching it very much. Fortunately (for me, at least), Lucas is not available to criticize!Marjolein,This tree (Prunus ceracifera) is very close to where I live. The light touches it at certain hours of the day after reflecting from a building. The sky provides some fill. I always wanted to photograph the "sensuous curves" for some reason (may well be sinuous and innocent, but I am not sure!). I still like to watch the tree and I even think of photographing her again...Jamie, Really pleased to see you enjoy this one. Link to comment
