Yeah, larger indeed. Nice and crisp. Love the ripples to show a little movement, but such an original pose. The BG is awesome to with the dark shaded trees. Nice.

Thanks Kenneth! Lighting was horrible, if there's a bit of sunshine the bird would ahve reallly shine (and the white will get burnt as well). Dull lighting is good for the white but then it robs the image of great definition. There's no ideal situation but may be sunlight in a cloud. :-)

Tm,

Avocet is such a beautiful bird in breeding plumage.  As was said, that pose is unusual and striking!  I like the muted low light in this situation.  Congratulations!

Excellent picture. The posing is really eyecatching and it looks as if the bird is standing on the water surface. The water depth must be extremely shallow. Very sharp picture and well done. Best regards Per.
