A genuine expression in a very well composed shot, especially as concerns foreground and background. The strong color and presence in the foreground against the more muted background helps tell a story. Horse and man seem in sync and photographer right along with them. The red rope also offers a lot to this photo. It's a good photographic counterpart to the humanness of the guy's expression.
