jorge_fernandez3 0 Posted May 13, 2012 I was pleasently surprised when I open PN and saw this gorgeous image with superb colors and texture. And been yours make me aware that I am connected to you artistically and emotionally. Every thing is beautiful in this image, but her expression is saying to me, all is well in our world! Have a great day my friend and warm regards from Miami. 7/7 plus. Link to comment

LenMarriott 9 Posted May 17, 2012 I prefer this higher key version over your B&W low key shot. There is much merging with the background in your B&W though this might well have been your artistic intent. In both versions I find the low position of the main light to be less flattering than a would a higher position for a portrait of a lady. Low main light always reminds me of how one would light a character in a spooky movie. All that said, it could be that I simply misunderstand your intended end use of the shot. Regardless, it's always interesting to view your latest. Best, LM. Link to comment
william_staniforth 0 Posted May 20, 2012 Thank you Paul and Len. It was intended for a theatrical set up ( which didn't work ) ! I took some with even lower lighting and even used colour gels for some . She is actually resting on a plank of wood balanced across two chair backs . Thanks for for your comments and suggestions , they are always welcome . Bill Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted May 20, 2012 "...a plank of wood balanced across two chairs..." ! I love the useful tips we all benefit from in this forum. I was holding out for a height-adjustable posing table but now you've convinced me this is no longer a necessity. A little imagination (apparently lacking at my end) goes a long way. Best, LM.
