It seems pretty obvious to me that a lot of these yahoos aren't qualified to rate birds.

LOL! Good to hear from you Monte, you must have read my mind some :-) - Actually, I think for the people who don't shoot bird they don't know the rarity of certain shot. Also, being a local shooter give a person more knowledge of how difficult or rare to witness or get a certain type of shot also.

I've been shooting Skimmer 3,4 years (some year I don't see them .. l think last year) and I probably can count on one hand the number of times I see a Skimmer with fish and most of those times happened last week. Therefore, this one is kind of special to me since I don't get to witness this often (let alone catching it). I got only 2 shots for this one right after the bird got the fish from the water. I've been kicking myself some since I stop shooting briefly right before the bird got the fish . When they skim around one have to keep shooting (and delete later) to get a shot of the bird catching the fish right off the water, I think!

It's probably not a pretty shot (hence the rating) but it's a rare (documentary) shot ?, I think. It's hard to get Skimmer with eye shown in good light + fish.
