Hello Gail,

very nice presentation of bleeding hearts. Another great image.

I am not sure but I wonder if a little more room on the bottom would work better or not.

Kind regards

Yes you are right. Unfortunately, I had draped this 'sprig' of bleeding heart over the top of a painted 'milk can' and the very bottom of that 'heart' was at the very edge of the top. I played around and tried to crop and just have my background colour of black showing, and it seemed like there was something missing, so I did the stroke. It didn't make much difference as to the outcome of what was left at the bottom of the shot. I suppose I could have 'free transformed' it to be higher in the frame, then cloned more of the bottom on, but didn't think of it at the time. Another alternative would have been to have a frame, with the very enc of the 'heart' coming out of the frame. I may try a second version if I have time later today.

Thankyou fo much for your visit and of course your suggestions, warm regards dear friend, Gail

Dear Gail,

..that happens me, too. So you are not alone with that. I just wondered if you broke the "rule" on purpose. I still like it very much and it is worth admiration.

Kind regards

I mixed two layers on my wife's picture Gail, I think you did the same here! The result is however an excellent work of modern art which just got my most respectable seven! Thanks for your message Gail, now this picture reminded me!

Best regards

I like the texture and rendition of these bleeding hearts. Whether  the framing needs a little more room at the bottom or not still the composition is superb the way you framed these flowers.

Beautiful and congrats, Gail.

I like the abstractness in this image, well seen and creatively done. Thanks for sharing.

Each of you have expressed very encouraging comments that I'm sure will inspire me to 'explore' just what I might be able to do creatively.

Warmest regards, Gail

The colours and processing are impressive. A beautiful work, lovely composed. Perhaps also agree about the more space for the bottom. But it is good as it is too.

The petals here seem like a raw and bleeding wound but the result is not at all off-putting but rather a dramatically striking picture. Your skill continues to improve, as well as your imagination. This is obviously a time when ideas are blooming for you along with the flowers.

My immediate thoughts were very much like yours Jack, yet the image did not make me sad. Thankyou for your inspiring words, and encouragement.

Sincere thanks, Gail
