sonneland 0 Posted May 10, 2012 emmanuel, this is just wonderful, absolutely wonderful! the strength of the shadows, the flowing curves, the well thought out composition. there is just no way this image would work in anything but b&w. how you have not only left natures imperfections as they are but your work somehow celebrates those same imperfections. just marvelous! in my quest for perfection i have learned a lesson here, and i say thank you mr.enyinwa! its looks to be real down to earth old fashioned photography and i just love it. seldom rate images anymore, but since you have asked i have participated, wont say what i rated it as that just does not quite somehow seem right. also forgot to mention the somber mood which just radiates forth from your work. the arum liliy is also associated with death more so than any other single flower on a world wide basis. there is a generation even here in new zealand who will not tolerate this flower to enter the house. i also think anyone who works long enough with flowers just gravitates towards this flower. our creek right down to the sea is abundant with them, viewing them on their own with no camera can also be enjoyable as no two are exactly alike but have also taken a fair few of frames of these garden matriarchs. have so enjoyed sharing your art, i tip my hat!roger Link to comment
