robert_schulz1 0 Posted May 8, 2012 I use a very similar composition for engagement shoots, so I personally really like this. The only suggestion I have is regarding the lighting that crosses the face of the male subject. She is then left in the shadow which draws your eye to him rather than the couple as a whole. I suspect a step forward would have put both of them in the shade so you would have had a more even lighting, possibly adding some reflected light to add some directional light on both subjects. tien_le1 0 Posted May 10, 2012 Very nice shot. The lighting in the backdrop is perfect and the depth of field creates very grand feeling to direct the viewer to the couple. If somehow the sun could have hit both subjects' face (or have them stand back by a few feet to get that sunlight), it would have been magnificent. Another consideration: lower the camera angle by a foot and shoot the couple with their faces slightly above the line of horizon (of the brightly lit field) it would have drawn the viewer's gaze even more directly at the couple. But great composition overall. Thanks for sharing! Link to comment
