"Aspen" Fire - North side of the Catalina Moutains

This was shot shortly before sunrise from a private access road near

Oracle Arizona during the "Aspen" fire. The fire was moving toward

the town of Oracle. To the local residents this was a frightening

sight for many nights. Another shot in this folder, with the Milky

Way in it, shows the fire from directly in front of its direction of

movement but does not convey the perspective in a recognizable context

as well as this one, in my opinion.

I think this photo is tremendous. It seems both visually appealing and quite unique.
