Thanks Kenneth! The bird was about 15-20 feet above me at the same angle as the lens (that pointed up) and since I was shooting Terns, the shot was under-expose by one f-stop but nothing that RAW won't adjust since it's a sharp shot ( I got a whole series of 5,6 shots) as the bird make a u-turn to go back to where she came from.  A fast camera and lens make a huge different! I was shooting with my 5D II yesterday (with the 500mm) and it's was so slow that I can not imagine how I was using it to shoot bird before I got the 1D Mark III. I had left the battery for the 1D at home since I was in a hurry .. :-)
