Thanks for viewing/comments! The hardest thing in catching Tern is to get

the eye shown. Evening light is wonderful but that also means ... high ISO,

this one was shot at ISO 1000.

Hey TM, good timing. I'm so afraid to shot anything over 400iso on my 50D. I'm afraid I'll end up with an amazing noisy shot...

Thanks Kenneth! I know what you mean, I used to have a 40D. Don't know if the 50D has it but try to set noise suppression for high ISO on the camera if the 50D has it. I also run Noise Ninja here and there but not on this one since it smooth out the bird (even though I had selected only the background area).

Thanks TM J, that's really good info about noise ninja. I've never used it, and was sooooo close to downloading it, but that makes me think twice. I have heard mixed reviews about the noise reduction stuff on the 40 & 50D's.
