This trial makes a quick decent to the floor of the crater. At over 8000 feet of

elevation, it's the hike back out that tests the body and spirit. There are a

couple hikers on the trail. See them? Thanks for looking! Aloha.

I don`t have Mike`s eagle eyes and it took me a little while to find the hikers because I made an early assumption of where I would find them. In my birth place in the Caribbean, there is a dormant volcano but it only goes up to 4000 feet and in the last few years when I have mounted this volcano I would stop a few times pretending to take images but it was really to rest and get more wind in my lungs. 8000 feet might just do me in! Thanks for sharing this exotic scene.
