jongaus 0 Posted April 28, 2012 I like the dreamy, romantic expression of this photo. Link to comment
sideris 0 Posted April 28, 2012 JonThat's the intention, romanticism based on the beauty of a young woman, nothing original, but essential. Thank you for your comment. Link to comment
sideris 0 Posted April 28, 2012 GiuliaI am so flattered by your comment, because very deep inside of me the result I was looking for was exactly this, a meaningful image for someone. Thanks a lot for your visit! Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted April 28, 2012 I love the sense of story here, Carlos. I feel like there was much that led to this moment and much that followed. The high-key exposure adds to this feeling. Link to comment
sideris 0 Posted April 29, 2012 MarkYou said: "..like there was much that led to this moment and much that followed...". And I add: a story of life, and for sure you know about life (your words proved it). I tried to capture one fraction of time, a brief moment made of light and soft shadows where emotions are involved. Isn't this one of the most deepest reasons of photography? I Hope. Thank you very much for your comment Mark, your opinion is very valuable for me. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 9, 2012 Very human and somewhat abstract at the same time. You're abstraction (the darks and lights, the lack of face, the shapeliness) doesn't transform the scene into a play of only objective elements. It transforms a human story into a photographic one. The sense of line, of diagonal, and the high key work nicely to wring feeling out of an intimate moment. Link to comment
sideris 0 Posted May 11, 2012 FredIn a certain mode we are abstractions. That's what I believe, and that's the subject I pursue with my camera; to expose our abstraction. I can see in every human being the architecture of nature based on our unique geometry. This geometry is not made by frozen lines and angles, on the opposite, this geometry is made by warm lines and curves and dark corners, a singular creation sculpted on flesh and bones. Unique, unrepeatable, and splendorous under the appropriated light, the light of our personal gaze. At last for me the meaning of "gaze" is exactly "feelings", or "emotions". A personal matter. I did it here? I hope, this is the best prize for me. Link to comment
3m 0 Posted September 23, 2012 Lovely, Carlos -- I like the soft, intimate mood the image evokes. The dark hair (with just enough details in the strands/curls), contrasts nicely with the pale smoothness of the model's body. A somewhat abstract photo indeed, which makes it more interesting for me actually... The B&W works nicely for this. Link to comment
