frigo 4,155 Posted April 28, 2012 There is a word that did not show up in your comment,but I guess you find this scene very compressed and hectic and it is.Contrary to other small wharfs in this are,this one does not have the capacity/surface to store the 300 traps/boat ahead of time,so when the date is finally set,a concerted and coordinated effort is engaged to bring the gear on wharf,install the fresh bait and load onto the boats.Timing is critical as the bait must remain fresh and cannot be set too early;the other controlling factor is that once loaded with 150 to 200 traps,these relatively small boats are best not exposed to adverse sea condition even at the wharf.Presently and unfortunately,these boats fully loaded have been retained at port as the season due to start today has been delayed until the 1st May due to the high winds/big sea.As for a shot from the other side,I will post as soon as I can get a decent afternoon light condition to show the scene from the front.Meilleures salutations-Laurent Link to comment
