It is a beautiful bird Mike and a great capture. It seems some of the most colourful birds are in the much warmer and tropical climates. At the Zoos here we can see colourful Parrots, and other birds, but nothing that quite compares in the 'natural habitat'. I can't get over the brilliant colours.

All the birds in this enclosure had spectacularly bright feathers.  I guess its so they can be seen by the girls in the dark beneath the dense overhead canopies in the jungle.
