You nailed the light and exposure. I love the illuminated bowl below you and the hoodoos catching the sun. The desert is such a magic place. 

The rich warm light from the textured opening is unlike anything I've seen before, it really grabs the attention. And whilst I think the rest of the geological are well placed within the composition, I wonder if you took a shot concentrating soley on that illuminated opening?  Very well done!

It misses simplicity, though.  It would need to be on a giant piece of paper to really work properly for me.  I think you needed to choose between the foreground rocks and the lovely luminous bowl on the right.  too hard to get both together.  for me, it's a six.  best, j

This is wonderful... I like how you do show the shapes thanks to the light. The whole landscape is very attractive and I think it was a good decision not to add more of the sky. My only additional point is about the composition. A simplified composition could make the photo even more attractive. Thank you for sharing...

I like the texture in the rocks and different layers, it is beautiful to see. I like the overall warm feeling, a beautiful shot.
