william_staniforth 0 Posted April 22, 2012 A good portrait , the lighting has worked well and you've got a good range of skin tones . ( ought to have removed your watch though ! ) Bill Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 23, 2012 Alex, Excellent portrait. I do think William has a point about the watch. It does draw attention away from his face. I do like the black background with the black shirt and camera. A small hair or background light would have separated him better from the black background. You want to keep the catchlight on the same side of each eye so that it appears you have one main light. Overall this is a very well done portrait -- good focus on the eyes -- nice skin tone -- very good composition. If you substitute a Nikon for the Cannon it would make him appear more professional. :-) Nice shot, Mark Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted April 23, 2012 Thanks William. Mark, you have to be a Nikon guy to say that. More professional? Yeah I shoot with Nikon as I like the CLS system. LOL! You will be getting lot's of hate mail from Canon guys. Link to comment
