kombizz 15 Posted April 20, 2012 Mihrab's ExteriorA mihrab is semicircular niche in the wall of a mosque that indicates the qibla; that is, the direction of the Kaaba in Mecca and hence the direction that Muslims should face when praying. The wall in which a mihrab appears is thus the "qibla wall."Mihrabs should not be confused with the minbar, which is the raised platform from which an Imam (leader of prayer) addresses the congregation. John Peri 1,029 Posted April 28, 2012 What my fellow human beings forget very often, whether they are Christians, Jews or Muslims, is that we all believe in the same God, however we decide to worship him to the cynical exclusion of the others. I sometimes wonder what he would have to say on this subject, but I don't think that is of any interest to the parties concerned, after all we are each a member of the chosen ones are we not, the dispensable others being the non-believers. As for the photo above, it is very nicely composed, toned and coloured, almost graphic in design. A very nice image, thank you for posting it Kombizz. Link to comment
