kts 0 Posted April 20, 2012 Herman, while this shot is pretty good with the 2 tree's offsetting the fence and road, i think the better shot would have been that beautifully shaped lone tree with the open grasslands and clouds.....hope you got one of that as well Link to comment
overdiep 0 Posted April 20, 2012 Herman, I like the contrast between the two trees. The tree at the background has a normal natural shape. The tree in front ( a pollard-willow) has been limited in its growth. It is an image of poignant sorrow. But also of hope, because the pollard-willow is strong and can live further on its own way. Best regards. Link to comment

HermanRoes 6 Posted April 21, 2012 Thom, Marco and Ruud,Thank you for your visit and comments. Thom I can imagine your comment and partially I agree with you But apperently the image is not strong enough. I tried to tell a story with this image but allas I failed. If I had given this image a name or description I think it might have been easier to guess. Marco came close with his comment. Maybe my age comes into play. It's simply, the old worn out tree stands ouside the meadow with the younger tree in the distance. It is up to your own feeling how you interpret this image. It can make you sad, but that is not the intention. The old tree is old and still strong going it's own way. He is just simply watching the youth at play in the distance. But being aware that trees are living entities I sometimes wonder what they are telling each other. May be the younger is encouriging the older to hold on and go further. And than comes your own fantasy into play, think about it!Kind regards,Herman Link to comment
rivera r 0 Posted April 23, 2012 I see a pair of trees in love full of experience and long life. The other has a long road to go while he learns. Love it. Mari Link to comment
