Nice graphic image. In my opinion it will be stronger if you leave the tree on the right. Best regards.

Andrea, I mean that you could crop on the right side and that only the person is visible. Best regards.

Andrea, I really like the starkness of the black and white, particularly with the white line breaking through the bottom. I could see a number of different crop ideas for this, each probably changing the dynamic quite a bit, and none probably as strong as this one.

On this I will say: Less is more! very nice B/W , I like the white lined angle . Each of the viewer can tell his own story...;-))

Extraordinary creation based on a "less is more" concept. Huge spaces, solitude, a hot legendary wind, and all the context under an extreme contrast without a single nuance. Clever, original and done with mastery.

Oooo! I like what you have here.  Talk about tone compression!  You've narrowed it down to the two extremes.  Very graphic with the curb nicely breaking up the mass of foreground black.  For me, at least, all the elements, including the tree, can stay.  To satisfy the rule of thirds and, in my opinion, direct more attention to your subject person, I would crop out about half the sky area between the top of the tree and the top of the frame you present here.  If that is at odds with your 'artistic license' then ignore that suggestion.  After all, it's your shot!  Best, LM.

I think I like the 50:50 split between black and white. Very creative, eye-catching and original.

The line that leads him out of blackness, heaviness. The light and what ever hope there is, is behind this darkness and on the horizon on the other side. Nice with the use of strong compositional diagnol line and straight lines also the graphic effect you have achieved here. The positioning of man towards the edge of frame but not on a 1/3 line shows perhaps his vunerability? There is a lot of ways to interpret this. I think perhaps the tree balances the image and adds a dimension, in any case it is another interesting graphic shape .Unique and engaging image. Regards
