The miswak (miswaak, siwak, sewak) is a teeth cleaning twig made

from a twig of the Salvadora persica tree (known as arak in Arabic

and peelu in Urdu). It has a long, well-documented history and is

reputed for its medicinal benefits. It also features prominently in

Islamic hygienical jurisprudence.

I am sorry to inform you that, this miswaak is a kind of natural brush from a plant called Salvadora persica tree. It is completely different from toothpick !
