atle.g 0 Posted June 12, 2003 Breaking the "rules" a bit. Wonder if this 50/50 composition works? Feedback are as always appreciated! Thanks!!! Link to comment
bryan olesen 0 Posted June 12, 2003 I think you had to go 50/50 here for the right effect, and you definitely got it. They ain't necessarily "rules", but rather "guidelines", and I think this image proves that they aren't meant to be taken literally. Very nice exposure, composition, and colors. The main interest is contained within the fog/mist (top & bottom) which makes it a good candidate for 50/50... Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 14, 2003 I don't see any harm at all with the 50/50 split in this one. I think the asymmetric carve line on the top quarter provided the leeway for it. The soft light is just sooooo soothing to behold. Link to comment
richard van hoesel 0 Posted July 1, 2003 I agree - the 50% horizon isn't a problem for me either Atle. Very nice indeed. Link to comment
svein-frode 0 Posted September 1, 2003 Great shot Atle! The mood in this one is priceless. Great Norwegian winter capture. The 50/50 are the rule when it comes to reflections, so you have nothing to worry about! In panoramas you often should center the subject, so rules will change depending on the scene and subject in front of you! Link to comment
