This is an "Oh My"! image.  The background color and blur are just perfect and it even complements the yellow portions on the flower. The fact that this is a 'soft' image is part of the allure.

With artistically soft images my eyes tend to roam around to latch on to some small part that is crisp. In this image I have found those crisp parts mostly in the leaves in the lower section. It is my personal preference to have located  those crisp parts in the yellow portions in a minimum of one flower.

Sometimes when I am not using a tripod and I have a narrow DOF, it does not take much camera movement back or forward to throw the focus elsewhere.

Don't get me wrong, this is still a beautiful image worthy to be hung on a wall somewhere. And please don't shoot the messenger since my intention was honesty and hopefully constructive.

All the best,

I always appreciate comments that will help me to get better. And getting the right point sharp in a macro, is a chellenge to me. Yes, I use a tripod and manual focus, but I don't always succeed. Pratice, pratice.

Regards Sidsel
