w-j-li 0 Posted April 9, 2012 What a wonderful work! Now I understand that the B/W photoes, sometimes, express more than the ones in color. You did an excellent work. Best Regards, Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted April 9, 2012 Wonderful use of light and shadow. The lighted edges of the curving leaf are terrific. These are great exercises in tone and composition. Link to comment
sonneland 0 Posted April 9, 2012 emmanuel, very nice image, especially like the edges of leaves. these are probably my favorite flower to work with and the only flower in the garden that i know off that consistently suits b&w over color. really nice work! Link to comment
Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted April 9, 2012 Yes, they are photogenic flowers, but remarkably hard to work with, in that the light has to be right, and also they grow in patches, which makes composition difficult. In the past, I'd import them to the studio, but now eschew that for natural light, which, as I said earlier, makes it more of a challenge to isolate individual flowers from the patch. This one is one of my favorites, as well. Thanks, everyone. Link to comment
