As already mentioned by Radu, the opposition between the two characters makes this image very attractive. Very nice. Regards, Jean-Marc

Yap, she is lovely and a great model to work with. Thank you!

Maurizio

Thank you again for your supportive comments, but don't worry about low ratings, for me it's not useful anymore!

This corner of my house has a fantastic natural lightning at certain hour of the day (not always) Thank you!

Radu

You hit the nail. That was my intention, opposition between two different nature subjects. Thank you!

Thank you, indeed this model got the sense of the composition very easily, and she understood my concept. The gaze on the book is supposed as a "diagonal". Thank you again.

Hola Carlos:

La foto es fina y agradable de composición. La chica tiene buena posición de las manos. Blanco negro resulta buena decisión.

Te deseo todo bueno.

Un saludo cordial de Miriam

This is a very delicate two parts composition, that is signifying two parts of human situations.

One, is the inner part, a world each of us is having.  The second is out side life and sport.

It is very well composed, the  light of BG is enhancing the B/W PP.

In my point of view ,the book is connecting the two, as the stories inside are probably reffering to both( and more) human  life scenes and situations..

A real beauty  of creation !

I am happy to see you again in my pages dear friend, and because of your detailed analysis of my photo. You hit the nail about the book, aimed to be the glue between two extremely different subjects of the composition.

The acrobat supposedly is pointing the book telling her that she must not be afraid because the true is inside the book, like in the Garden of Eden the viper told Eve about the apple of knowledge. Well, just a poor intent telling a tale from my side.

Thank you very much Pnina!

The model facing us highlights her very attractive features, so much so that it works well also, truly well, as an isolated portrait with a crop beyond the knee.

I am biased by the previous shot I commented on with the model facing forwards and somehow do not want to interfere with the story that I read in that one.  Sometimes works of art should be looked at separately without an interference which was not intended.

I couldn't rate the other shot which I would have wanted to, so I'll give my 7 here for the combined effort.

Your writings are so rich and expressive that sometimes I'm ashamed because of my ignorance. Your comment is a statement indeed, you're subtlety describing the singular facts that gives value to anything with regards to the arts. It's like a backbone, the column of a particular concept that was there from the beginning. "Photography should be your way to tell a story", cryptic sometimes, obvious others, but always with something inside.

Thank you for your medullar words.
