Girls (women here) tend to be social and interested strongly in social

things. It may even be a fundamental genetic trait of females, while

boys tend to be more outward, aggressive, independent, and less

dependent on mutuality or social things -- all of which is illustrated

by this photo, taken in a restaurant in Kyiv, Ukraine. These women

graduate students, about to launch into their professional careers,

are bunched together examining their media, all topped by a mural of

a lone horizontal football (soccer) player trying for that 'save'.

Your ratings, critiques, and observations are invited and most

welcome. If you rate harshly, very critically, or wish to make a

remark, please submit a helpful and constructive comment; please share

your photographic knowledge to help improve my photography. Thanks!

Enjoy! john (oh, notably INTELLIGENT and personable women, too).

I took this with one hand, balancing a tray with the other, using fingers from the tray holding hand to push a button or two to manipulate some settings; something a bit awkward, but I got the photo.

Often you only get one chance (I got five photos, each single photos, but all the same essential composition -- this is the best of the bunch).

Take a bare photo of a trio of great looking grad student women focusing on media, let it be, and concentrate on their looks and their looking.

Or make a story and even a parable out of it by incorporating the background, which seemed so obvious, and with tray in hand even,  rather simple, easily seen, and begging to be accomplished.

Then I sat down with the three women, and introduced this photo to them, as I  thought it rather good and wanted them to see themselves in another light, which is how I know their particulars.  I often share, but rarely do such extreme things, however seats were VERY scarce and my hamburger was getting very cold, my arm tired.

They were wonderful, refreshing and nice.

I'll make prints of this and give them this, if I can track them down.

Thanks for the recognition, Meir.

I regard it as a compliment.

The idea is good. Although the vantage point tends to confuse at the first sight. As it did in my experience. The blonde hair in the lower right corner is disturbing as well as the boy and girl in the left side of the background. You should have framed the blonde hair woman as well, if you were technically capable of it.

Thank you for your contribution.

I'll be taking it into full consideration, especially since raters and viewers don't seem to be wildly enthusiastic about this photo; I like it very much and as Meir said, it is 'Classic Crosley' with or without the others, which I feel tend to keep the major players from being isolated and in keeping with the 'street' genre, but the numbers are on your side.

Thanks for taking the trouble to analyze and share your views; I'll take another look.
