I like this shot best of the series.  There's a resigned, lost look there that, combined with your story, just yanks at the heart.  Were you able to get close or capture the bird?  I would hope someone will be able to entice it close enough to catch...  Mike

Thanks for your comment. I was surprised to see tropical bird in the Snake river. One of the fishermen told me " house pet". I took several shots but failed to get closer with 500mm lens. I was waiting for cormorants to show up. I saw the bird was chased by a seagull, hope that cockatoo survives.
