Mark,

What a beautiful bird so perfectly captured!  Very even lighting and great detail.  Love that eye!  The background blur is delightful as well.  Haven't seen this bird before.  Thanks for the ID.

As Phil has said, this is a great capture although I might have "tweaked" the sharpness a smidgen (although a personal preference). The eye is superb.

The picture was captured at a hide at a bird sanctuary called Marievale - about an hour out of Johannesburg. The original image was in raw format so tweaking the sharpening was probably a good idea. Thanks again for the comments, warm regards, Mark
