I think this is very well composed.  The red rock in an otherwise B&W scene is striking.  Very nicely done.

I think the portrait orientation was the right choice here, the combination of textures from bottom to top is very effective. Very well done!

I really like this too, Wanghan, and all your Yosemite winter shots.  You must have been standing close to where Ansel Adams shot his El Capitan Winter Sunrise (1968).  I like the fog, which seems to be pressing down on El Capitan; and the frosty trees are great.  In Adams' shot, the fog was at the bottom and so El Capitan appears more imposing as it rises above it all.  Thanks for sharing this with us. I've always wanted to visit Yosemite in the winter.  This is stunning in its natural beauty.  I like the foreground and the fog is a nice touch as well.  Bravo!

Reminds me on the childhood when we were so in love with snow and winter! Maybe because the school was of, but I remember sights as this one, only not so big rock. Very fascinating image Wanghan!

I fully agree with Stephen, Pierre and others about the composition, it is nice to see a more limited chromatic range (lovely ice and snow patterns on the trees) and the effect of the rock colour. Fine composition and effect. Thanks.
