dabar 0 Posted March 30, 2012 Ah, the memories this image invokes...I had a hand in several aspects of the Apollo Program, mostly with the flight hardware for the Command Module. Those were exciting times. I am still proud to have played a small part. Thanks For The Memories My Friend! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 31, 2012 Did you make this? The model, not the photograph? The reason I ask is because it doesn't look like a kit someone could buy in a store or hobby shop. It looks like a model made from a collection of just random stuff...and if it is, it's cleverly done. What leads me to that conclusion are the parts wrapped in gold foil (which could be old candy wrappers or even Christmas paper), and the little ladder on one of the legs.I like it, but my main problem with it is that I can't get a sense of scale from it. There's nothing size-wise to compare it to.But I do like the photo. Link to comment

davidmccracken 2 Posted April 1, 2012 Jim, Firstly! I did not make the model. I have a friend (honest, I do) that is into making these. There are people / companies that sell enhancment packs for these kits. A lot of what you see here are optional extras. I was not sure if I liked the missing idea of scale or not. It was something I was very aware off. In all honesty, I didn't think anyone would comment on this image, never mind mention the scale. It makes me happy that you mention it. The model is around 6 inches in height. Thanks a lot.Owen, I posted this image on another site along with the comment, 'Sometimes I don't photograph girls.' The reply I got was, 'Why?' My response to that was, 'There are no girls on the moon.' So, sadly, the answer to your question is, 'No!' Thanks a lot for the look and comment. Link to comment
