Checkerboard Mesa

I was not really thinking a lot of taking a photo of this famous mesa in

Zion, but when I saw that nice sunset light hitting the mesa I had to do it. I

was particularly attracted to how the snow that was left had settled into the

subtle valleys between each "checked" area. Let me know what you think,

good or bad, about the composition and processing.

Haven;t seen many photos of this place with snow. This one is simple and nice. I would also add some more of the foreground element for the depth.

Thanks Lalit.  I actually took some of the foreground elements out as I found this made the image seem a little bottom heavy.  Thanks for the suggestion, though.  I will revisit that aspect of this image.  Take care.
