frigo 4,155 Posted March 30, 2012 Thank you for the comment.This shot was taken in a communal/family grave in an Incas cemetery in the deserted area along the coast of Peru.I was given to understand that the cemetery was revealed when the top of some of the graves caved in when the rotting wood covers collapsed under the weight of the sand overlay.Upon discovery, the cemetery would have been subsequently visited by grave looters looking for belongings accompanying the dead in accordance with the burial tradition.This grave and many others were in this state with different accumuations of skulls/bones and being slowly reclaimed by the desert sands.Meilleures salutations-Laurent Link to comment
