Its a nice shot. I believe you should watch the blue and green channel to ensure they are not clipped. I would try to gamma adjust the image or with the curves. secondly I would also avoid the small branch running diagonally across the right corner, if there is not such composition I would clean it.

thanks very much for your appreciation, critique and suggestions.

As far as deleting that branch in the background is concerned, my philosophy ist that this is a nature shot, not an organized studio setup. So, things which can be seen, are part of the scene. It doesn't disturb or distract me. Such is life in a bird's world.
