Parthasarathi,

She is a pretty girl. You have focused well on her eyes. She has good catchlights. The background is nicely neutral and her face is well separated from the background. Good contrast. The compositional balance is very good. Her make-up is also very good. The mat works well with this image.

I like the lighting on her face, but the shadow from her left forearm running across her neck and chest is very distracting. You could have used a hair or backlight to better separate her hair from the background, but this effect works for me.

You may want to increase the exposure on her face a bit so that the whites of her eyes are a little whiter. They are a just a bit gray.

Her finger on her cheek seems a little posed looking to me -- not really natural, but the idea is good.

She is looking a little to the left of where her head is pointing.  If not making eye contact with the camera (viewer), the eyes should follow the line of the nose. It is natural to look where your head is pointing. If looking off to the side you should show what she is looking at or provide a reason that she is not looking where her head is pointing.

I really like her dress and her pendant goes very well with it. The pattern may be a tad busy. It draws my attention away from her face -- just a tad, though.

It is quite appropriate to place your name and the date the photograph was made, it you wish, on the mat surrounding your photograph. Your studio name or DBA or any other extraneous information would better be placed on the back of the photograph. You don't want anything to draw the viewer's attention away from your subject.

Nice shot,

Mark

Beautiful in camera work, processing, and presentation. She is very lovely. Your lighting is very complimentary, soft and gentle not garish.

Love this one.

Warm regards, Gail
