An array of faces is displayed when a bazaar seller's family and

friends gather at the slow end of a warmer Spring weekend day at a

famous food bazaar in Kyiv., Ukraine. Each face appears to me like it

was placed 'just so' for maximum visibility. Your ratings, critiques,

and observations are invited and most welcome. If you rate or critique

harshly or very critically, or wish to make a remark, please submit a

helpful and constructive comment; please share your photographic

knowledge to help improve my photography. Thanks! Enjoy! john

Obviously the man at the right of the frame is not only the main player in your photo but also the attention getter in this group of seemingly good humored souls.Good shot of these sellers whom,at least at this instant, are not at all distracted by your presence even if your are very near.Good capture of real emotions and good image.Bravo!

This started out after two ratings with a 6 and a 7, then after three with a 5.67, still the top-rated new photo.

People of experience (whose identifies I do not know) sometimes rush to evaluate my new posts they think are good, then the newbies rush in; currently after 11 ratings this stands at 4.18, which means a host of 3 ratings have been posted by those whose names I do not recognize and are not members or have not been long-term members.

Really this is a standout photo, and for once in my mind so far it represents a failure of the ratings system.  (to me of course)

It's too 'busy' for viewing in thumbnail, and new raters cannot 'get' it.  I 'get it' and can't get it out of my mind; it's 'high art' in my mind.

That's part of the rating system though, which works pretty well, otherwise.  Half of the viewers, interestingly however, have felt compelled to rate it; unusual.

This photo is an anomaly, just as I predicted.  For an enthusiastic with training and taste, it's a really good photo, deserving I think of those high ratings, and for a newcomer, no one can see what sets it apart and who can blame them?

Merci pour votre compliment, mon ami.

Salutations.

All was transitory.

It was a bit of ribaldry and some jesting, as these people met, and even interacted with me, Mr. Photographer.

They were comfortable, joking among themselves and even welcomed my presence which made things happy to make this capture.  You may have interpreted this capture correctly; I don't have a precise memory, which for me is unusual.

I like this capture, so did early raters, but then it fell, fell, fell, in the ratings.

Interesting, how that happens.

Thanks for your fine comment.
