It is amazing how far you can go when you are abstracting an image. I can see so many different things in here, I would never have guessed what you started with. You are so creative and fearless! I imagine you as in touch with her child spirit and has given herself over completly to inspired, playful, creativity when you are working on something like this. What a beautiful, incredible peice of art. I am, as always, impressed with you work.

Have you had any of your images printed at a good lab on stetched canvas? This would look fantastic as a large print hanging in some Bay Steet financial institution or office tower.

Best wishes,

Linda

I really have to say you 'blow me away' with your comment. I hesitated at even posting this!!!! I guess I am very 'free' when 'creating' but when I go to post I wonder if what I have created will truly appeal to others.

It does take some time, and I am only using Photoshop. (the odd plug-in at times for some layers but nothing that 'out of the norm') I've not gotten into some of those fantastic programs that Dave Barstow and Grigoriy are using, they look fabulous!!! But probably a bit sophisticated for me.

I've never thought of having anything printed on Canvas. There is a fellow that my Dad got a print done on Canvas that lives not far from me. I have an older Epson Stylus that will do 13 x 19 prints that my Dad gave me but I am having trouble getting my colours right on it. He is really anxious for me to print a 13x19.

Thankyou so much Linda for your enthusiastic words, truly encouraging. You know I respect your work at especially your past Artistic Achievements in Graphics etc. A comment like this coming from you is truly heart warming. Perhaps I will get brave and jump out of my 'sandbox' and 'venture' into the 'unknown'. :-)

Thankyou dear friend for such a lovely compliment, has made my 'YEAR' !!!

Sincerest appreciation, Gail

It looks like branches weirdly crossed and organized, has also depth and looks like 3D almost! The poor hawk doesn't know what you have done of him it seems to me, ha!

Best regards dear Gail!

You caught me!!!!! Yes that poor Hawk had no idea what I was about to do!!!! but he survives quite well on other pages. You have such a great sense of humour Pierre.

Thankyou so much for your visit and for your support, it does mean so much.

Hi Gail,

A great transformation. Superb results.

Now, many years ago I was contracted to furnish "business cards" to executives of a large, well known company (un- named to protect their privacy).

They provided me several nude female models to shoot close ups of their bodies. Then I transformed the very explicit images into color "swirls", that required an active imagination to figure out what the body section really was.

My clients were very pleased with the results and I obtained several follow on contracts to take more "G" rated images of their facility and co-workers in the work place.

Best Regards,  Mike

thankyou so much for your visit and kind comments. I agree with you. I actually am fond of the Red Tailed Hawk image, as I do not often have the opportunity to obtain such a capture. Although there is a lot of room for improvement, here is a smaller version of the one that is in my Birds folder. The one in that folder should be lightened up somewhat I think, but at least with this image you get a closer version of what the Posted image looked like.

many thanks for your visit and support, Gail

Thaks for stopping by Mike! I can imagine any 'assignment' you put your mind to, you will come up with just the right 'answer' that will satisfy the client. I imagine they were quite colourful and a source of conversation for years to come. You must have an 'encyclopedia' of knowledge that so many of us just wish we could have.

I always enjoy your 'tidbits'. I don't think I've ever met anyone who has the wealth of knowleged that you have acquired about cameras, lenses, and astronomy. We are very fortunate to have you her on PN.

Cheers for now, Gail

Many thanks for your visit Sumon and of course for your input. This is not such 'delicate' pp work, but it does require some time.

One day I hope to take such lovely land and seascapes as you and edit with just as much proficiency.

Your input is always appreciate Sumon, kindest regards, gail

So good to know the 'earthquake' did not affect you, a big sigh of relief when you let me know. Again I thank you for your 'speedy' reply. I do enjoy your visits and please know that your support and time taken is always appreciated.

You're up to your old tricks, I see. I'm always impressed with your ability to come up with these unique creations that never seem to be mere random manipulations but always nothing short of impressive and well-constructed abstracts.

So nice to  hear from you, and yes I still like to play in my 'sandbox' from time to time. I've been busy trying to download a bunch of Photos to my External Hard Drive, so while I am doing that, I sometimes work on an Abstract.  Nice to hear you enjoyed the image. Will drop over for a visit soon, had meant to last evening,

Sincere regards, Gail

Gail...

This is awesome.  To think that the original was a red-tailed hawk, and you were able to create a beautiful piece of abstract art.  You have lots of talent.  Thanks for sharing.

"Oh what tangled webs we weave, intricate and frail, the testament of tiny steps we leave as sands of time prevail"

The transformation is amazing! A veritable myriad of mysterious molecular machinations!

The result is as impressive as the original image of the Hawk which I also like very much.

Best Regards

Thankyou so much for the compliment Bill, but there are often times I think I have far too much time on my hands (for the amount I play around with the images). I don't really have far too much time on my hands, not nearly enough for all I want to get accomplished in a day.

I guess that is why I am still on the computer at this hour. LOL, I do have so many replys to catch up on, and one thing is for sure there are so many others here on PN that are new and very talented.

thanks so much for your visit and encouragement!!

Warmest regards, Gail

You truly should have been a 'writer' - always enjoy your 'wordsmithing' as I've said many times before. My sincere thanks Alf for your input!  It does look like a 'web' actually!

Cheers for now, Gail
