Hi Pierre,

Charity starts at home.

Nice finish to the image characteristics.

I have spent a few coins in my day.

Best Regards,  Uncle Mike

A very pleasing image with its silvery timbre and excellent toning, but its thought-provoking too... intriguing that the scoop is not overflowing

This image isn't easy to understand. In my interpretation it could be an expression of the existence of a lot of money in the world but that men give only a very small part of it for charity. As many of your images they invite the viewer to think about the subject.

Great abstract composition, with many intellectual layers. The silver coloring is perfect. Super work in photoshop. Well done, Pierre.

Pierre,

My interpertation would not only involve charity, but also taxes & government, . . . so I'll just keep it to myself!

Interesting!

Regards always,

Jim j.

No, not on Pierrre's creativity, it is beyond a very few of other PNetters.. To me, it looks like a tax filing time, with taxman coming with a biiiig scoop, and any of us hardly willing to contribute even a coin... ***Bravo majstore, prava ideja***

So many thoughts on this image Pierre!!! I think one might think of it two ways. I see the shovel coming to 'scoop' up the coins, yet the everyday man either REACHING for a bit of 'charity' or REACHING to drop a coin.

Perhaps the everyday man is giving 'what he can', and his coin is much smaller, but the 'POWERS THAT BE' are SCOOPING far too BIG a share that the 'common man' is unable to give as he would like, FROM HIS HEART and not from GREED.

You are always very INSIGHTFUL in your images Pierre. Your imagination once again has brought to us a very 'timely' image.

Fond regards, Gail

Complimenti Pierre, hai affrontato la tematica dell'avarizia con un bellissimo stile anni 50 che richiama l'ancienne regime. Bravo come sempre, ciao Sergio

I wasn't sure and I'm still not sure if the brightness/contrast are OK here! Please tell me if you have the time to see this one:

Pierre,

I personally like the original posting better! But, what do I know, . . . you are the Master in this type of work!

The new version with increased contrast etc certainly makes it more tangible and gives it more depth and presence, but I have to say I prefer the lighter, more ethereal ghostliness of the original. I love that little shadow of the man. But for reasons of Health & Safety I can't condone this behaviour he isn't wearing a hard hat and reflective vest!  : - )

Seriously though, there is great material for thought here, the pile of money alone is a very emotive symbol, whilst the presence of the character and excavator add further ingredients to contemplate.

 Best Regards

Alf
