Can this picture be improved?

Well, I think there is always a way to improve everything in some way :)

Personally, I like this shoot a lot, the composition is good I like the toning of it and he has a good expression that works with the "mood" in the shoot.

My suggestion to improvement is his jacket, the arm and body goes almost totally together, a slide change of his elbows would have give you a separation but now when the shoot is made I would have tried a local contrast boost.

I rated this a 4 but I would rate it a 5 if you crop out the left 25% of the image. The light colored wall competes with your subject's shirt and facial tones
