jerrymat 4 Posted March 20, 2012 Little guys like this are always fun. It occurred to me to keep track of where my eyes went in looking at this image: I looked at his head and those white fur pieces over his ears, then down to the seeds in his hands, back to his face and then down to the feet with what look like opposable toes. In other words I never looked at the right side of the photo at all. That suggest a cropping that would strengthen the composition.Jerry Link to comment

jlg 0 Posted March 20, 2012 It works very well as a whole. Interestingly, the pose of the monkey (is it a monkey?) is not the most appropriate one and would be wrong timing if your whole framing was just him, since then the interest would be foremost at what it was doing, but with the space on the right it works very well since the interest moves to the scene with the branches and the colours of both the monkey (especially the yellow) and the blue of the background. Thus, I disagree with Jerry at his suggested crop and think it is very well as it is. Link to comment
someoneelse 1 Posted March 20, 2012 Yes it is a monkey > monkey squirrel is the name and this kind of monkey was in this swedish serie Pippi Långstrump, I don't know if you know this, but here is a picture of her with this monkey Link to comment
