Another lovely shot Grayham. This would look very good as a painting. The title is perfect as 'tranquility' is the first thing I thought of when I saw the thumbnail.

Lovely work.

Sincere regards, Gail

Always a delight to have you visit one of my images and I'm glad your initial reaction was the same as I saw when shooting them.

Definitely an overcast, "bad weather" day, yet the lighting gave me

different opportunities that I hope I conveyed here. Comments always

welcomed and appreciated.

Lovely color tones and light Grayham! I would totally crop the upper part (the bush) leaving only "water" in the frame. Regards, Teo!

Thanks for your visit and kind comments. With my nature shots I try to incorporate some of the subject's habitat to hopefully add interest to the image. I tend to compose the image TTL and present it as I shot it.... with minimal (if any) post processing.

Thank you for your suggestion....... I will see how it looks.

Best regards

Hi Grayham,

You really got the pelicans in a nice grouping here!  And I love the color of the vegetation on the bank and the corresponding reflection in the water.  Really adds to the enjoyment.  They seem very calm.  I wonder if they are grouped in male/female pairs?  Regards

Thanks for your time in commenting so favourably on this image. I appreciate that you acknowledge the subject and habitat combination which I try to achieve in my images.

Regarding your comment about the "pairs", my local books state "pairs into flocks".......... etc.... so you could be correct in your assumption.

Appreciate your visit......

Hi again Grayham,

Brilliant capture of these lovely feathered friends. One can immediately feel the tranquility just by looking at the whole scene and the clarity as well as color is perfect.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us as well.

Warmest Regards

J

So nice to hear from you... as always.

Thank you so much for your kind comments........ I always appreciate the comments from wildlife photographers as they tend to understand the difficulty of the capture. These guys were not the easiest to shoot... despite the "Tranquillity" of the image..... but you knew that anyway!.

My best regards to you and yours..........
