Dr Samuel Johnson walked down this path very often...he was responsible

for the first English dictionary and he was a great literary critic and scholar.

This path let him to a house that he had on top of the hill. Some of the trees

visible here existed in the 17th century during his time. Thank you for

viewing.

Beautifully done, I can feel the mist.

A wonderful example of how to not go with the temptation to center this image.

A fine composition with natural colors.  NICE WORK!

My dear and very learned wife informs me that Dr Johnson did not have a house in Muswell Hill, but his friend did whom he visited often. But this was the actual path that he took and it is indeed called Dr Johnson's walk...:-).

A nostalgic walk. Beautiful atmosphere created by you. An appreciable composition with charming color tonality. The man on the way has enhanced the strength of the composition. Your write-up has enriched the emotional tonality of the image. Best regards.

Perspective and composition are spot on. Those stout, big trees look like they may have aided the venerable Dr SJ in his ponderings as he strode by...

You did two things perfectly.  One, capturing the essense of this walk with the lone figure adding to the mystique of the image and the story.  And, two, you listened to your wife!  An excellent photograph...  Mike

..it was my birthday a couple of weeks ago and my eldest daughter's card went as follows: On the front there was a badge attached that said 'I AM THE BOSS' and on the card it said ..wear this badge to show your position of AUTHORITY in the family. I was well pleased with that until I looked inside and it read..But don't forget to give it back to mum tomorrow...
