Waves on the Sand

This photograph was made on the beach as a study of the patterns the

water makes against the smooth sand. After taking B&W Photo II at

I found that my vision of patterns

like this have some artistic merit. I'm interested in what others

think.

I have wondered what this would look like as well. Somehow it doesn't turn out the way we'd like.

I really like the idea, and the shapes are definently (and lines) to make a really nice image. There just isn't a low value to be found. Maybe less exposure (putting the sand at zone IV, III &1/2 maybe), and giving extended deveopment (maybe N+1 or N+2) to bring out the higher values might look nice. Then again I could be entirely wrong, but that's what I might try anyway. Cool idea for a series.
